Learning outcomes
PLO 14. Use Italian and English in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO 21. Interpret, abstract, annotate and adequately translate (from Italian, English and Ukrainian) oral and written texts of various styles and genres, except highly specialized ones. PLO 27.1 Have language proficiency in modern variants and registers of the Italian and English languages. PLO 28.1 Demonstrate the ability to implement communicative interlingual mediation on the basis of the knowledge of linguistic and cultural specifics. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Second foreign language and translation", "Stylistics of the translated text (Ukrainian language)", "Introduction to translation studies". 2. Knowledge of basic theoretical concepts of translation studies, translation transformations, mastery of basic skills of oral and written translation.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to familiarize students with the types of tourist discourse, their main linguistic characteristics and the specifics of translating various genres of tourist discourse from English into Ukrainian and vice versa. Within the scope of the discipline, the main genres of tourism discourse that the translator encounters in his professional activities are considered. Linguistic characteristics of these genres and peculiarities of their translation are studied. Considerable attention is also paid to the main types of tourist resources, which are divided into cultural, environmental, and types of tourist infrastructure, types of tourism, where the tourist discourse is used. The study discipline is one of the disciplines of the student's free choice (Block of disciplines "Translation in Intercultural Communication"). It is aimed at improving the skills of sectoral translation in the field of tourism and intercultural communication skills of students. The discipline is a continuation of courses in written and oral translation, linguistic and regional studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of the counter, described in clause 7.1 of the Program. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who have scored the minimum positive number of points ‒ 60, receive ‒ "enrolled". Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points ‒ 60 receive - "not enrolled". Students who scored less than 60 points in total for the semester must prepare material on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing translations, abstracts, handing in a glossary, presentation and/or writing a test.
