Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Сommunicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian, Spanish and English, in oral and in written form, use these languages to ensure effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 15. Carry out linguistic, literary and translation analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PLO 16. Know and understand basic concepts and theories in the field of translation studies, be able to apply them in professional activities. PLO 21. Interpret, abstract, annotate and adequately translate (from Italian, English and Ukrainian) oral and written texts of various styles and genres, except highly specialized ones. PLO 23. Identify and analyse the specific features of a communicative situation in translation and impact on translation decisions. PLO 24. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the disciplines: "Practical course of the Italian language", complex discipline "Introduction to the specialty". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of translation studies, the concept of translation as a special type of intermediary activity, the factors relevant to its implementation and assessment of the quality of its implementation.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form theoretical knowledge and practical skills of written and oral translation from Italian into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into Italian, which is a mandatory component of the work of a future translator. Abstract of the academic discipline: The practice of written and oral translation in the activity of a translator is an integral part of the professional baggage in view of the modern requirements for the specialty, the widespread demand for oral and written translations in various fields of economy, science, culture and sports. This multi-semester discipline begins the cycle of mandatory and optional disciplines in translation practice and prepares future translators to solve more serious problems of specialized translation of socio-political, economic, financial, scientific and technical texts.

Performance of practical tasks in classes, test
Assessment methods and criteria
Students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points are not allowed to take the exam. For students who during the semester did not reach the minimum cut-off grade level, at the end of the semester, a final semester test is conducted or essays and laboratory works are evaluated on course topics. The maximum grade for additional assessment forms cannot exceed 40% of the maximum total points for the semester - 24 points. The sum of points for the semester is formed by Part 1. 30% of the sum of points for the 5th semester (maximum 30 points out of 100 points), and Part 2: 50% of the sum of points per semester (maximum 30 points out of 60 points). The semester final grade is formed by the points received by the student during the semester (semesters - if there are 2 parts) and the points received on the exam, the maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam ).
