Learning outcomes
PLO1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in Ukrainian and Spanish in oral and in written form, use these languages to ensure effective cross-cultural communication. PLO5. Collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, proponents of different political views, etc. PLO18. Have the skills to manage complex activities or projects in solving complicated problems in professional activity in translation and be responsible for making decisions under unpredictable conditions. PLO21. Interpret, abstract, annotate and adequately translate oral and written texts of various styles and genres, except highly specialized ones. PLO23. Identify and analyse the specific features of a communicative situation in translation and impact on translation decisions. PLO25. Demonstrate the skills of using innovative technologies, various translation resources and translation automation tools. And also PLO2, PLO6, PLO14, PLO26.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the required courses "Introduction to Translation Studies", "Practical Course of the First Foreign Language", "Translation and Interpretation Practice", "Comparative Lexicology of the First Foreign and Ukrainian Languages", "Comparative Grammar of the First Foreign and Ukrainian Languages", "Stylistics of the First Foreign Language", "Linguistic and Country Studies of the Countries of the First Foreign Language", "Terminology", "Modern Ukrainian for Translators".
Know the main theoretical provisions, specifics and issues of translation studies as a science.
To be able to create oral and written texts in the state and foreign languages, to carry out adequate translation and interpretation and to apply translation transformations in practice; to abstract and annotate texts on relevant topics.
Be able to use the latest sources of information to search for professional vocabulary and terminology.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to develop skills and abilities in translation for the written translation of scientific, technical, political, socio-economic, popular science, economic, banking, journalistic texts, audiovisual and oral translation from a foreign language into Ukrainian; compilation of parallel texts. Structure of translation practice. Preparatory stage: Orientation meeting, acquaintance with the general supervisor of the translation practice, the introduction of the supervisors of the language sections and study of regulatory documents. Main stage: consecutive translation or interpretation; abstracting and annotating texts; compiling a glossary; compiling parallel texts; formatting the translation in accordance with the established standards. The final stage: preparation of translation practice reports; defense of translation practice; submission of reports to the person responsible for translation practice for review and evaluation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Orientation meetings; independent work; consultations with the head of the internship; defense of the internship.
Assessment methods and criteria
The results of the students' translation internship are assessed on a 100-point scale. In the process of completing the translation practice tasks, a student can score a maximum of 80 points for the following types of work: - participation in an orientation conference, drawing up an individual plan for the translation practice - max. 5 points; - translation of texts - max. 20 points (40 points if the compilation of parallel corpora is not required); - abstracting and annotating texts - max. 10 points; - compiling a glossary - max. 20 points; - compiling parallel corpora - max. 20 points (40 points if the translation of texts is not required); - preparing reporting documentation - max. 5 points.
Final assessment in the form of a practice defence: max. 20 points/min. 12 points.
Students who score less than the critical-calculated minimum of 40 points are not allowed to defend their internship. The recommended minimum for admission to the defence is 48 points.
