Learning outcomes
PLO 1.Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non-experts in national and foreign languages (French and English) orally and in writing, use them to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 14. Use French and English in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO 15. Carry out linguistic, literary and translational analysis of texts of various styles and genres. PLO 21. Interpret, abstract, annotate and adequately translate (from French, English and Ukrainian) oral and written texts of various styles and genres, except highly specialized ones. PLO 23. Identify and analyze the specifics of the communicative situation in translation and impact on translation decisions. Course content
The Integrated final examination in translation and the first foreign language aims to check and evaluate students' language, communication, country studies (socio-cultural) and translation competence, the knowledge of the basics of translation theory and the ability to implement this knowledge in the process of translating a written text and oral abstracting in a foreign language of a Ukrainian socio-political text, as these types of work form the basis of students' future professional activities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
It is conducted in written and oral form and involves testing students' knowledge and skills in written and consecutive translation of a foreign language text into Ukrainian, abstracting a Ukrainian text in a foreign language and conducting a conversation on a given topic in the first foreign language. The structure of the ticket reflects the complex nature of the exam and consists of three tasks. 1. Written translation from the first foreign language into Ukrainian of a special/culturally marked text (900 - 1000 printed characters). 2. Consecutive translation from the first foreign language into Ukrainian of the socio-political text (up to 800 printed characters). 3. Reference in the first foreign language of the Ukrainian socio-political text (up to 800 printed characters) and an interview on the proposed topic.
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation criteria. The maximum number of points that a graduate can score is 100. The maximum/minimum possible number of points for the first and second questions of the ticket: the maximum point is 35; the minimum score is 20. The maximum/minimum possible number of points for the third question: the maximum score is 30; the minimum score is 20.
