PLO 15. Choose the best research approaches and methods for analyzing specific linguistic or literary material.
PLO 20. To develop teaching materials, conduct lectures, and conduct practical classes in higher education based on knowledge of the methodology of teaching Oriental and French languages.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
- Successful mastery of the disciplines "Oriental Language (Advanced Level)," "Western European Language (Higher Level)," and "Linguodidactic Foundations of Foreign Language Teaching"
- Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of methods of teaching foreign languages in higher education and related pedagogical disciplines;
- Knowledge of the regularities of the educational process in foreign language classes in higher education
Course content
"Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages in Higher Education" is a professional discipline for students majoring in 035.061 "Oriental Languages and Literatures (Translation inclusive), the first one being Vietnamese" and is taught in the 1st semester. The main objectives of the discipline are to familiarize students with the main components of the theory of modern foreign language teaching and, on this basis, to teach them to use theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems, to present current trends in foreign language teaching both in our country and abroad, and to reveal the essence of the components and means of modern methodology as a science. Students' independent work includes individual study of specialized literature. The discipline is part of the research component of the educational program, which is represented in the focus of practical classes and independent work on scientific research in the field of foreign language teaching methods.

Assessment methods and criteria
The evaluation of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training-learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1–1.8), which is 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training-learning outcomes (skills 2.1–2.4), autonomy and responsibility (3.1–3.3), and communication (4.1–4.4), which is 60% of the total grade.
