Course content
"Methodology of Scientific Research with the Basics of Intellectual Property" is a mandatory course for master's students at the Institute of Philology. The course covers the modern methodology of science, specifically in the field of philology, as well as intellectual property rights and the commercialization of intellectual property. The course is divided into three parts. The first part, "Theoretical Foundations of Philological Research," focuses on the main linguistic and literary trends, both domestic and foreign, and introduces students to the various methodological approaches in philology. It also helps students develop skills in recognizing scientific analytical approaches and understanding the historical dominance of different scientific paradigms in philology. The second part, "Methodology of Scientific Research," explores the concept of science as research and covers the definitions of methodology, methodology, and research methods. It also delves into the different levels of methodology, such as specific scientific, general scientific, and philosophical levels. The final chapter, "Fundamentals of Intellectual Property," examines the role of intellectual property as intellectual capital in society's socio-economic development. It also introduces students to the various forms and mechanisms of commercializing intellectual property. Overall, this course provides master's students with the necessary knowledge and understanding of scientific research methodology and intellectual property in the field of philology.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training-learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1–1.7), which is 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training-learning outcomes (skills 2.1–2.3); communication (3.1–3.2); autonomy and responsibility (4.1), which is 60% of the total grade.
