Learning outcomes
PLO 4. To assess and analyze critically vital social, individual and professional
issues and offer tactics for their resolution, in difficult and unpredictable
conditions, which require the application of new approaches and forecasting.
PLO 16. To use specialized conceptual knowledge in a chosen linguistic field to
solve complex tasks and issues, which require updates and integration of
knowledge, often under conditions of incomplete or lacking information and
contradictory requirements.
PLO 20. To undertake pre-translation analysis of specialized texts of various styles
and genres.
PLO 21. To know the specifics of translator’s work in various fields (textual,
media, audiovisual, web-space) and be able to use necessary tools and techniques.
PLO 23. To be able to plan the process of specialized interpreting and translation
in accordance to the stages of a translation project.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of undergraduate courses, in particular such a discipline
as "Practice of oral and written translation", "Comparative
lexicology of the Spanish and Ukrainian languages", "Comparative grammar
Spanish and Ukrainian languages", "Stylistics of the Spanish language",
"Language resource stylistics (Ukrainian language)" as well as courses
master's degrees such as "General theory of translation", "Oral technique and
of written translation", "Genre theories of translation", "Comparative
rhetoric".
Course content
The purpose of the course is the formation of skills and competences in various fields
types of translation from native Ukrainian into Spanish. Familiarize the students
with the specifics of translating from one's native language into a first foreign language into different ones
structural levels. The purpose of practical classes is the development and
improvement of foreign language translation skills that were formed
partially in the undergraduate course, in particular during the study of the course "Fundamentals
translation from Ukrainian into Spanish".

Assessment methods and criteria
The material of the lecture classes is fixed in the seminar classes
assimilation is evaluated in points, in accordance with what is stated in clause 7.1
RPND The work program involves writing a modular test
work The discipline ends with a test. Final assessment
form the points received by the student in the process of performing the specified
types and forms of education and obtained in the exam. Maximum distribution
is carried out as follows: 60 points - during the semester and 40 points
(20%) – exam.If the student scored less than 24 points on the exam, then
they are not added to the semester grade regardless of the number
points received during the semester, and in the examination information in the column
"final grade in the discipline" indicates only the number of points,
received during the semester.
