Learning outcomes
PRN 17. Collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or learning. PRN 20. Know the problems of modern Polonistics as a separate direction of Slavic studies and demonstrate a holistic system of professional knowledge that determines the social significance of the future profession. PRN 22.1. To apply knowledge of Polish and Lithuanian languages within the framework of linguistic and regional studies and tourism discourses. PRN 23.1. To be able to identify the national-cultural component in the structure of the Polish and Lithuanian languages PRN 24.1 Apply receptions of literature and cultural realities in tourism discourse.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The discipline "Interpretation Methods and Strategies" is a logical continuation of the courses "Introduction to Linguistics", "Introduction to University Studies", "Introduction to Literary Studies", "Ukrainian and Foreign Culture", "Modern Polish Language. Practical course", "Introduction to translation studies".
Course content
The educational discipline belongs to the elective disciplines of higher education institutions, is a component of the Complex discipline "Theory and practice of translation" and is closely related to the compulsory educational complex disciplines "National-cultural component in the structure of the Polish language" and "Modern Polish language: Practical course". The course is designed to study and deepen the knowledge of the experience of translation practice, forms the basis of the professional skills of philologists-translators. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars.

Learning activities during the semester: Oral answers in practical classes (translation tasks); Preparation and oral compilation of individual thematic translator's glossaries; intermediate control - translation of texts
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum number of points during the semester is 60 points. In particular, semester assessment by forms of control:. Answer at a practical classe (consecutive interpretation, sight translation) - max. 30 points 2. Preparation and oral presentation of individual thematic translator's glossaries - max. 10 points Module test.
