Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Work effectively with information: select the necessary information from various sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyse and interpret it, organise, classify and systematise it. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialised tasks and problems of professional activity. PLO 17. To collect, analyse, systematise and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems in specialised areas of professional activity and/or study. PLO 19. Have the skills to participate in scientific and/or applied research in the field of philology. PLO 22.2. To know the culturally determined factors that shape the relationship between communicators in different communication situations for adequate reproduction in translation from Polish and Lithuanian.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of the general and selective Courses "Introduction to Linguistics", "Introduction to Literary Studies", "Lithuanian Language", "Practical Course of Lithuanian Language", etc; 2) knowledge of the basics of linguistic and literary terminology, general information about the history of linguistic doctrines, language system and structure, phonetics, lexicology, grammar of the Lithuanian language; 3) mastery of basic skills of synthesis and analysis, interpretation of language, speech, text and discourse material.
Course content
EC "Term paper on lithic studies" is an independent educational and scientific work in which the applicant for higher education of the first (bachelor's) level must not only demonstrate the ability to find and master scientific sources on the chosen topic, but also to carry out independent research. EC"Term paper in lithic studies" involves the development of general and professional competences related to the skills of independent synthesis and analysis, interpretation of linguistic, speech, textual and discursive (linguistic and/or literary) material based on the terminological apparatus, methodology and tools of certain linguistic and literary criticism schools in the field of litany, as well as the development of skills in formulating the justification for the choice of topic and empirical material, the main provisions of the study, specific generalisations and conclusions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Based on the results of preparation and public defense of the course work, evaluation is carried out in accordance with the forms and criteria specified in the previous paragraph. The decision on admission to the defense is made by the head of the course work. The overall result is determined by the sum of the evaluations of the manager and the defense commission and does not include additional evaluation measures. Applicants of higher education, who in total scored the minimum positive number of points (60), or more to the maximum permissible score (100 points), receive a positive score established according to the compliance scale. Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points (60) receive an "unsatisfactory" grade.
