Learning outcomes
PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of languages and literature being studied, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.
PLO 9. Characterize the dialectal and social varieties of the Ukrainian language, describe the sociolinguistic situation.
PLO 10. Know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities.
PLO 16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of folkloristics, linguistics and literary studies, to be able to apply them in professional activities.

Knowledge of the main grammatical categories of the Ukrainian language and general linguistic concepts, mastery of lexical-grammatical sentence analysis skil
Course content
The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of the normative grammar of the Latin language, to form ideas about the influence of the Latin language on the development of modern European languages and international scientific terminology, to develop the skills to read, translate and analyze Latin texts.
The course is aimed at training future philological professionals to develop basic knowledge of Latin grammar and practical skills in translating Latin texts.

creative task (essay) - from 8 to 12 points (12)
final control work in the form of tests - from 12 to 20 points (20)
