Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian, German and English, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 7. Understand the major issues of philology and approaches to solving those using relevant methods and innovative approaches. PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the "Introduction to Translation Studies" course. 2. Proficiency in German at level B1+. 3. Basic skills in translating from German to Ukrainian.
Course content
The course is part of the cycle of mandatory subjects for the specialty 035 Philology (German languages and literatures (including translation) at the bachelor's degree level. In the 3rd semester, 2 ECTS credits are provided, including: practical classes – 28 hours, independent work – 32 hours. In the 4th semester, 4 ECTS credits are planned, including: practical classes – 60 hours, independent work – 60 hours. In the 5th semester, 60 hours (2 credits) are scheduled, of which 28 hours are practical in-class sessions, and 32 hours are for independent student work. In the 6th semester, 60 hours (2 credits) are planned, with 30 hours of in-class sessions and 30 hours for independent student work. Each semester includes 2 content modules and 2 module control works. The final score in the 5th semester is composed of points for oral answers, written works, and module control works. The 3rd, 4th, and 6th semesters end with an exam.

Practical classes, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment: response during seminar sessions, practice written translation, module control work. Final assessment is an exam. Evaluation criteria for each form of control are provided in the course syllabus.
