Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian, German and English, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, German and English. PLO 12. Analyse language units, determine their interaction, and characterize linguistic phenomena and the underlying processes. PLO 14. Use German and English in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastery of the discipline "Practical Course of German Language" within the thematic program of the previous semester.
Course content
The academic discipline "Practical Course of German Language" is a component of the educational-professional program for the training of specialists at the bachelor's level in the field of knowledge 0203 Humanities, specialization 035.043 German Language and Literature (including translation), with the first language being German. The discipline is mandatory and is taught in semesters 1-7 with a total of 58 credits. The language of instruction and assessment is German and Ukrainian. Teaching is based on didactic and methodological principles, emphasizing the main tenets of the communicative approach to foreign language learning, utilizing authentic materials. The focus is on the sociocultural aspect of intercultural communication. Instruction is conducted through practical sessions and independent student work. The study of the discipline concludes with an examination.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral response (questioning), written assignment, module assignment. Final assessment is an exam. Evaluation criteria for each form of control are given in the course program.
