Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 15. Perform linguistic, literary and translation analysis of texts of different styles and genres. PLO 21. Interpret, summarize, annotate, and adequately translate oral and written texts of various styles and genres from German, English, and Ukrainian languages, excluding highly specialized texts. PLO 23. Demonstrate the ability to identify and analyze the specifics of the communicative situation in translation and its impact on translation decisions. PLO 25. Demonstrate skills in using innovative technologies and various translation resources, as well as translation automation tools. PLO 27.2, PLO 28.2. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Practical Course of the Second Foreign Language and Translation," "Ukrainian Language," "Introduction to Translation Studies," "Practice of Written and Oral Translation from the Second Language." 2. Knowledge of key theoretical concepts in translation studies, translation transformations, and proficiency in basic skills of oral and written translation.
Course content
The course of this academic discipline is dedicated to developing practical skills in written and oral (consecutive) translation of specialized texts in social-humanitarian, scientific-technical, financial-economic, and legal fields, with an emphasis on solving translation issues of lexical, grammatical, and stylistic nature, as well as developing the ability to compose summary translations of specialized texts.

Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment includes oral response, written assignments (followed by discussion), and quizzes. Final assessment is an exam. Evaluation criteria for each form of assessment are provided in the course syllabus.
