Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To assess individual academic and scientific-professional activity, to build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 2. To demonstrate an adequate level of national and foreign languages (English) mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the national and foreign languages (English). PLO 3.4, 5, 10, 12, 14, 16.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful performance in this course is on prior knowledge and language skills acquired through the courses such as the comprehensive discipline of Bilateral Translation and Editing, as well as Translation Theory and Fundamentals of Editing. 2. Knowledge of the types of translation difficulties and translation transformations used to solve them; proofreading and editing texts of various genres and styles. 3. Ability to analyze the original text in the source language and synthesize a new translation text in Ukrainian, Russian, and English; use modern search engines, automated translation systems, reference electronic and printed electronic and printed resources; carry out editorial analysis of written texts of various functional areas (authentic and translated); perform proofreading of texts of any complexity and any genre, make proofreading corrections to texts on electronic media.
Course content
During the internship students develop skills of practical application of professional knowledge and competencies acquired during their studies to successfully solve problems in the field of translation, and editing, in particular: to carry out linguistic analysis and translation (English-Ukrainian, Russian-Ukrainian) of texts; to carry out the editing of Ukrainian, Russian, and English-language authentic and translated texts; to ensure lexical, stylistic, and semantic compliance of the translation with the author's original; to carry out spelling, lexical and semantic, stylistic and grammatical proofreading of Ukrainian, Russian and English texts, to use automatic translators, to assess the quality of automatic translation and to be able to edit the automatic translation text.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The organization of the internship is carried out in accordance with the Regulations on Educational and Practical Internships of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology
Assessment methods and criteria
The results of the practical internship of students are evaluated on a 100-point scale. All points received by the student are recorded in the internship evaluation form. The final grade (100 points) is formed by the sum of points received on the assessment of the practice supervisor before the internship defense (60 points) and on the final control (40 points). A student who did not complete the internship program in full and received an unsatisfactory grade is placed on the internship again.
