PLO 2. To demonstrate an adequate level of national and foreign languages (English) mastery to perform written and spoken communication, namely in situations of professional and scientific communication; to present the results of their studies in the national and foreign languages (English). PLO 3. To implement modern methods and techniques, namely informational, in order to perform a successful and effective professional activity and guarantee the quality of research in an applied linguistics field. PLO 9. To characterize theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, basic notions, etc.) and applied aspects of modern linguistics. PLO 11. To carry out scientific analysis of language, speech, and literary material, interpret and structure it based on appropriate methodological principles, and formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. To have basic communication skills on the Internet.

The discipline deals with the formation of a new branch of applied linguistics – Internet linguistics, the emergence, and development of the Internet, the concept of computer-mediated communication, the categorical and conceptual framework of Internet linguistics, the main features of electronic (computer) discourse and hypertext, stylistic features of Internet genres. The discipline is one of the compulsory components (Part 1) of the complex multi-semester discipline "Internet Communication".

Types of educational activities: lectures, seminars, independent work.

During the semester, seminars are held after lectures, where the assessment is carried out according to the types of work and forms of control. The credit is awarded based on the results of the student's work during the semester and does not involve additional assessment activities for successful students. To receive a credit, those students who have scored a total of less than 60 points, must work the tasks off (no later than one week before the end of the course) on the overdue topics in the form of independent work and essays, or, if necessary, write a final test.
