PLO 1. Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the entire amount of material provided by the programs of the "Theoretical Linguistics" and "Introduction to Linguistics" courses; To be able to perceive and analyze information about the basic concepts of linguistics; highlight relevant and reliable material in the information field; use interactive and multimedia tools, use previously acquired knowledge and skills in the process of collecting, describing, analyzing, and spelling own names; To have basic skills in scientific research and work with information in Internet resources; critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena; use of professional sources; the method of phonetic, word-forming, morphological, and lexical analysis; skills of seminal and semasiological analysis of the word; the practice of word usage and orthographic norms; principles of collection, accumulation, processing, and search of linguistic material.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to acquire knowledge about the psychological and linguistic foundations of suggestion, about ensuring information security of the individual, society, and the state, developing skills to counter manipulative technologies, and forming critical thinking. The discipline is designed to give students knowledge about the origin and evolution of the phenomenon of "manipulation", the essence and content of suggestive technologies of manipulative influence in politics, the directions of implementation of suggestive technologies, verbal and non-verbal means of suggestion, as well as basic strategies and mechanisms of psychological protection and countering manipulative influence.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final score for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Assessment of semester work: 1. Answer at the seminar (supplements, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars), creative tasks: 45/75 points. 2. Modular control test/ creative project: 15/25 points. Students who scored the minimum positive number of points (60) get "Passed". Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points (60) get "Failed".
