Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To communicate fluently in official and foreign languages (English, French / Spanish) on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists both orally and in the written form; to use the languages effectively for cross-cultural communication.
PLO 5. To cooperate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, proponents of different political views, etc.
PLO 6. Use information and communicative technologies to solve complicated specialized tasks and professional issues.
PLO 10. To know the norms of literary language (Ukrainian, English, French / Spanish) and be able to use them in practical activity.
PLO 14. To use Ukrainian, English, French / Spanish in oral and written forms, in different registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), for solving communicative tasks in educational, professional, scientific spheres, and everyday life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To have the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. To be able to work with various sources of educational and scientific information, process it, and make generalizations and conclusions. To have skills in the use of information and communication technologies.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the further development of oral communication skills, understanding without a dictionary of adapted fictional and socio-political literature, creating a base for reading simple texts in the original with a dictionary and applying the knowledge gained by students to work with professional materials in French. The discipline is aimed at studying the language in the register of communication. The course is based on the elements of intensive training using audiovisual means, the purpose of which is to develop communication and speech skills and the skills of listening to a foreign language. At this stage of learning, the differentiation of aspects of work becomes important: work with a textbook, work with socio-political texts, conversational practice according to a defined topic, work with an audio text, and independent work with texts by specialty.

Assessment methods and criteria
The points obtained for the second part of the multi-semester discipline "Second foreign language (French/Spanish)" are transferred in the percentage equivalent (50% of the obtained points) to the formation of the total score for the two parts (5th and 6th semester) of this multi-semester discipline. The total score for the two parts of this multi-semester discipline is formed as the sum of the scores of the first part (5th semester) and the second part (6th semester) in percentage equivalent: part 1 – 30% of the received points (out of 100 points – 30 points); part 2 - 50% of the obtained points (from 36 points - 18 points, from 60 points - 30 points). The semester final grade is formed by the points received by the student during two semesters and the points received on the exam, the maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam).
