Learning outcomes
1. Studentd should know the conceptual and categorical apparatus of teaching methods in higher educational institutions ; the subject and scientific principles of teaching methods of socio-political disciplines in higher educational institutions; methods of conducting the main types of educational classes in socio-political disciplines: lectures, seminars ; methods of conducting consultations, exams, assessments, organization of independent work of students in socio-political disciplines. 2. To be able to apply the conceptual and categorical apparatus of teaching methods in the analysis of the educational process in higher educational institutions; to analyze the quality of the educational process, to determine the scientific-theoretical and educational-methodical level of lectures and seminar classes on socio-political disciplines in higher educational institutions ; perform qualification work, prepare scientific articles.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Students should know the basic provisions of: philosophy - regarding the theory of scientific knowledge; logic - about the laws of thinking; pedagogy - regarding the principles of didactics in higher educational institutions; psychology - regarding the psychological aspects of the educational process.
2. To be able to navigate the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the educational process in higher educational institutions based on knowledge of pedagogy and psychology.
3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding the functioning of the educational process in higher educational institutions.
Course content
Course contents the subject and scientific principles of the methodology of teaching social and humanitarian disciplines in higher educational institutions, the main methods and pedagogical means of teaching are determined, the peculiarities of the methodology of preparing and reading lectures, holding seminars, exams and assessments are revealed. Issues of organization and planning of students' independent work are considered.
