Course content
The discipline “Practical Course of the English Language (1st term)" is a mandatory discipline. The program of the discipline consists of such modules: 1 Social Environment and Challenges of the Modern World; 2 Social Intelligence and Moral Values; 3 Interaction between Nature and Society.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Educational activities during the semester: oral answers, writing essays, performing language exercises and tasks, listening to texts, preparation and presentation of educational projects, tests. Teaching methods: practical classes, independent work, educational projects.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final grade for the course is formed as the sum of the points of the formative assessment. Forms of formative assessment include answers on the lessons (max 30 / min 18 points), writing essays (max 10 / min 6 points), performing language exercises and tasks (max 20 / min 12 points), listening to texts (max 10 / min 6 points), preparation and presentation of educational projects (max 10 / min 6 points) and writing tests (max 20 / min 12 points).
