             PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it.

            Course content
        
        
            The aim of the discipline is the formation of a system of students’ knowledge in modern linguistic and regional studies in the field of geograLOy, economy, culture, politics, administrative and state structure of the country, main historical stages in the development of the Federal Republic of Germany and German-speaking countries. The main tasks of studying the discipline:
 - introduction to students the basic concepts and terms of linguistic and regional studies based on the study of geograLOy, economy, politics and culture of the Federal Republic of Germany;
 - formation of a coherent system of ideas about the politics, administrative and state system of the Federal Republic of Germany; 
- generalization of information about the historical stages of the country's development; 
- accmulation of knowledge in the field of linguistic and cultural studies; 
- acquisition of skills and abilities necessary for understanding the processes and analysys of the facts of the modern socio-political, economic, cultural life of German-speaking countries; 
- development of students' LOilological erudition.

Continuous, module (intermediate) and final assessment are conducted during the term. The final control is conducted in the form of a credit (max. 25 points). The following learning outcomes are assessed: 1.1- 4.1. Assessment is conducted orally with elements of written work.
