Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Choosing a block of disciplines "Russian Language in Higher Education Institutions". 2. Knowledge of the peculiarities of grammar, syntax, lexical composition of the Russian language; methods and techniques of language teaching; different types of classes.
Course content
During the pedagogical practice, students get acquainted with the professional activities of a university teacher, namely the peculiarities of conducting lectures and practical classes and organising students' independent work in a particular discipline, develop professional pedagogical competencies in assessing the results of students' learning activities, get acquainted with educational and methodological literature, master modern teaching technologies of higher education; learn how to present material, illustrate it with examples, introduce the latest teaching technologies in foreign (Russian) language classes; use methods and techniques of teaching Russian in higher education institutions; master the skills of scientific presentation of material in a foreign (Russian) language, the technique of conducting a dialogue with the audience, as well as systematic diagnostics of the quality of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Briefing at the orientation meeting of the trainees and the supervisor, consultations with the supervisor. Familiarisation with curricula, educational, methodological and scientific literature, illustrative sources. Analysing the teaching work of experienced academic staff during attendance at lectures, seminars, workshops on the theory and methods of teaching foreign languages, the practice of language and culture of communication, lectures and seminars in disciplines of choice. Conducting practical classes according to the plan agreed with the head of the practice. Attendance of practical classes conducted by classmates. Preparation of a report in the form of a portfolio of materials that reflect the content of the practical classes and the peculiarities of organising students' learning activities in these classes. Public defence of the report and its discussion. Self-analysis of development and professional self-improvement, self-control.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: 1. Detailed plan-concept of the lesson.2. Conducting the class. 3. A written report on the practice.The report is drawn up in the form of a portfolio of materials that reflect the content of the visited and conducted classes and the peculiarities of the organisation of students' learning activities.
