Learning outcomes
PLO (Program learning outcomes) 1. To evaluate one's own educational, scientific and professional activities, to build and to implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 2. To be confident using state language as well as English and classical languages for written and oral communication, in situations of professional and scientific communication, inter alia; to present research results in state, English and classical languages. PLO 4. To evaluate and to critically analyze the most socially, personally and professionally significant problems, to propose ways to solve them in difficult and unpredictable circumstances, which requires the use of new approaches and forecasting. PLO 5. To get optimal ways of effective interaction in the professional team and with members of other professional groups of different levels.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students should know the goals, content, approaches, methods and techniques, means, forms of organization of the process of teaching classical languages in higher education; forms, methods and means of diagnosing studentі achievements in classical languages. They sould be able to effectively analyze and plan the process of teaching classical languages in higher education regarding to the tasks and conditions of studies; select language material, techniques, means of teaching. Interdisciplinary connections: successful mastering of the disciplines. Ancient greek language, Latin language. Methods of teaching classical languages in higher education, Pedagogy of higher education and pedagogical skills of the teacher. Professional and corporate ethics Psychology of higher education. The knowledge of the discipline is a necessary component of the future teachers professional training, designed to form a system of theoretical basics and practical skills.
Course content
Objectives of the discipline – to master the basic instruments of pedagogical activity and the formation of professional personality traits of a teacher of a higher education institution; to develop the ability to organize lectures, practical and other forms of training, work autonomously, choose the proper methods and techniques of teaching. Assistant practice is designed to ensure that students acquire professional and pedagogical skills of a teacher in higher education institutions. During the practice, students apply theoretical and practical knowledge of the methods of teaching classical languages in higher education institutions, model and present lessons in classical languages in person and / or remotely, taking into account modern approaches, methods and techniques of teaching. The form of practice is full-time and / or distance. The location of practice is determined annually in accordance with the current agreements with higher education institutions.

Orientation conference; ctutorials with the head of practice and supervisor; practical lessons; discussion of lessons; analysis of lessons; independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment. The scores for the semester comprise the points for the mastering of the materials for the entire course. The total score for the semester consists of the points for the activities during the semester (passive practice, active practice, final lesson-plan, writing and defense of the reporting documents) All types of activities for the semester are estimated as follows: 100 points maximum, 60 points minimum. Final scores consist of points for the activities during the semester. Final assessment: graded credit test.
