Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting this course, students should know the basic worldview and methodological principles of philosophical and scientific understanding of reality, their place and role in society as a citizen and specialist.
To be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of culture, religious processes and events; apply basic terms and categories from religious studies in the analysis of worldview problems and socio-cultural phenomena and processes; operate with objective knowledge of the history of religion and the history of culture.
Possess a philosophical categorical apparatus; scientific research and information management skills; critical attitude and forecasting regarding sociopolitical, cultural and religious events and phenomena; the use of foreign language professional cultural and religious informational sources.
Course content
The discipline "Fundamentals of scientific research work" introduces students to the system of knowledge, skills, and skills for conducting scientific research. The discipline is aimed at students' mastery of special knowledge and methodical skills of independent, creative work on the organization and conduct of research work and writing a thesis. The program lecture course is focused on the formation of knowledge, skills and abilities for conducting scientific research in the chosen field and arming students with elements of scientific research methodology, which will contribute to the development of their creative thinking, optimal organization of mental activity. The discipline is aimed at students mastering special knowledge and methodical skills of independent, creative work on the organization and conduct of scientific research work and writing a diploma thesis, features and algorithm of design of scientific work, namely: using modern sources of scientific information; set a goal, determine the task and research hypothesis; plan and conduct an experiment; prepare work in accordance with the requirements, prepare reports, theses and article materials; apply the acquired knowledge in practical activities, use pedagogical and related methods of scientific research in writing qualification papers on special education.

Assessment methods and criteria
The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. For students who scored a total of less than the critical minimum of 60 points, in order to receive credit, it is necessary to complete the missed topics in writing and submit/send by e-mail to the teacher conducting the seminar classes.
Thus, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final test (minimum 12, maximum 20 points).
