Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Have confident knowledge of state, English and classical languages for written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present results of the research in state, English and classical languages.
PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres in classical and English languages.
PLO 14. Create, analyze and edit texts of different styles and genres.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must be able to
- independently think critically, consciously understand and analyze linguistic phenomena;
- analyze the key concepts of English and know relevant English terminology;
- read and analyze original English-language literature with a high degree of independence, based on the studied language material, professional knowledge, language skills and contextual guessing;
- communicate spontaneously, interact with a communication partner in different situational contexts, take an active part in conversations on academic and professional topics, well controlling the grammatical aspect, clearly marking connections between ideas, adapting speech style to communication circumstances
The student must know
- spelling, orthoepic, lexical, grammatical, stylistic norms of modern English;
- special terminology to present and argue one's own opinion with additional provisions, relevant examples and conclusions, demonstrating a high culture of speech
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to establish the actual compliance of the level of educational and qualification training of the graduate with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty .
The final exam in English involves testing language skills at the phonetic, syntactic, lexical and textual levels.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out by the ECTS system, which provides a two-level assessment of the mastered material, including assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1), which makes 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1 - 2.2); (communication 3.1); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1), which makes 60% of the total score.
