PTR 1. To freely communicate in Ukrainian and Russian languages in the professional sphere with specialists and non-specialists orally and in writing, to use those languages for effective intercultural communication organisation. PTR 10. To know the norms of the Ukrainian literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities PTR 11. To create oral and written texts of various genres and styles in Ukrainian. PTR 14. To use Ukrainian in verbal and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (official, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Distance form

Mastery of the Ukrainian language at a level sufficient to listen to lectures and work in practical classes.

The purpose of the discipline is to develop scientific speaking skills, which is a prerequisite for the formation of professional Ukrainian-language communicative competence of foreign students. The discipline "Commentary Reading of Scientific Texts" is a compulsory discipline for first-year international students. It is designed to develop students' skills in scientific speech, the ability to apply scientific constructions in writing and in professional communication. Thanks to this discipline, students will be able to navigate freely in the field of scientific activity and social life with representatives of other cultures and nations.

Learning activities: practical classes, independent work. Methods of work: productive and practical method, exercises. Modeling situations, conversation, integral method (work in pairs). Work with the textbook and dictionary; reviewing, commenting, studying, familiarizing reading of the text, doing exercises.

Assessment methods: Oral response, participation in the discussion, written assignments, module test. For assessment criteria for each type of assignment, see the work program of the discipline.
