Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the integral system of information support of scientific research, the peculiarities of their conduct. 2. Know the basic methodologies for using information retrieval systems. 3. To be able to use the national system of scientific and technical information. 4. Possess the skills to carry out research activities, develop their creative potential.
Course content
The discipline is one of the elective components of this EP. The use of the scientific potential of higher education, improving the quality of training, fostering the need for scientific research in solving professional problems in practice necessitates the teaching of a course that is the theoretical basis of the body of knowledge and skills for conducting applied research in the field of Turkology. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The course ends with an exam.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures; seminars; independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of semester work: 1. Performance of tasks in practical classes, oral answer: 1 - 5 points. 2. Research work: 5 - 15 points. 3. Written work: 30 - 40 points. 4. Exam: 24 - 40 points. The exam consists of two tasks: 1) a test of mastery of the material covered; 2) a detailed answer to the proposed topics.
