Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Know the historical stages of development of the subject area. PLO 5. To operate with the basic categories and concepts of the specialty. PLO 13. To know and understand the modern philological and didactic principles of teaching Turkish language and literature and English, language norms, socio-cultural situation of the Turkish language, features of the use of language units in a particular context, language discourse of fiction and modernity. PLO 26. Able to use innovations in professional activities, to determine the conditions and resources for lifelong professional development.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the periodization of Turkish literature. 2. Know the main characteristics of Turkic culture. 3. To speak Turkish at a level that meets the communicative needs for processing works in the original and translation. 4. Possess basic knowledge of the origin and development of Turkish literature. 5. Be able to set the goal and objectives of the study, put forward a research hypothesis, select and use research methods, analyze works of art.
Course content
The course "Genres of Turkish Literature" is aimed at familiarizing, forming and mastering knowledge about the conceptual foundations and basic typological features of genres in the Turkish literary process. As a result of studying the course, students acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities about the genre-species division of Turkish literature. The academic discipline "Genres of Turkish Literature" is an independent compulsory component of the educational and scientific program "Turkish Language and Literature and English" of the field of knowledge Education / Pedagogy; level of higher education: first (2 semester; 44 hours in total, including 22 hours of lectures and 22 hours of seminars). The program of the discipline consists of 2 content modules per semester. Classes are conducted in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with an exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which accounts for 30% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which accounts for 70% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Answers in practical classes: 10 - 26 points. 2. Creative tasks: 2 - 4 points. 3. Module test №1: 13 - 15 points. 4. Module test №2: 13 - 15 points. 5. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
