Learning outcomes
PLO3. To apply modern methods and technologies, including information technologies, for the successful and effective implementation of professional activities and ensuring the quality of scientific research in the field of Turkish philology. PLO7. Analyse, compare and classify different trends and schools of thought in Turkish linguistics and Turkic literature. PLO6. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech techniques to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organise successful communication.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the history of literary translation, its varieties; be able to carry out stylistic and syntactic analysis of literary texts, use dictionaries and electronic resources in the translation process; have Turkish language skills sufficient to read original literary works by Turkish authors.
Course content
The students study the basic theoretical principles and methodologies of translating a literary work. Methods of translation of Turkish poetic forms, drama, small and large prose works are mastered. Practical skills in mastering professional literary translation technologies are developed through the selection of optimal forms and types of classes that are as close as possible to the future activities of translators.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Answers in practical classes (preparation of assignments, oral response, work with text corpora, the Internet, written analyzes and comparisons of readings): 26-10 points. 2. Creative tasks: 2-4 points. 3. Module tests: 13-15 points. 4. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
