PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian and Swedish, English and third Germanic language, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, Swedish, English and third Germanic language. PLO 14. Use Swedish, English and third Germanic language in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

The course "Practice of translation from the Swedish language" in the 5th semester requires prior knowledge of the Swedish language at a level not lower than B1 in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, fluency in the Ukrainian language, as well as basic knowledge of translation theory and basic translation skills in social and political texts from the Swedish language into Ukrainian.

The course "Practice of Translation from the Swedish Language" in the 5th semester covers practical classes. In practical classes, students acquire the skills of written translation of popular scientific texts from Swedish into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into Swedish, as well as the translation of works of art from Swedish into Ukrainian. Students develop skills in the application of translation transformations in Swedish-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Swedish translation, develop skills in searching for information, in particular in lexicographic sources, learn to select the correct terminological counterparts.

Heuristic method, analysis and solution of problem situations, educational discussion, performance of individual tasks for translation of texts, independent work of students.

Current assessment: test, review of written translations, criticism and editing of translations. Evaluation criteria for each form of control are given in the course program.
