Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian and Swedish, English and third Germanic language, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 10. Know the rules of standard language and be able to apply them in practice. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, Swedish, English and third Germanic language. PLO 14. Use Swedish, English and third Germanic language in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The academic discipline "The Swedish Language" requires prior knowledge of the Swedish language at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Course content
The course "Swedish" provides practical classes. In practical classes, students train all kinds of speech skills: reading, listening, dialogue and monologue, writing and also improve the skills of correct pronunciation, use of grammar constructions, master the vocabulary of the Swedish language and knowledge of country. The scope of the academic discipline covers a number topics including everyday communication situations, as well as some facts from linguistic and country studies, in particular sports and lifestyle, friendship and social relations, work and profession, fauna of Sweden, ways of spending free time, habits and harmful habits, state system, politics, taboos, regions of Sweden, cuisine, history of Sweden, Scandinavia. Studying the course, students use the educational methodological complex "Rivstart B1+B2". Home reading of original Swedish-language fiction is also provided.
