Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; have basic knowledge humanitarian and social sciences direction. 2. To be able to collect and interpret information about social phenomena, processes and events; to determine the modern features of the coexistence of human communities in the conditions globalization; plan and evaluate own work; apply interactive and multimedia learning tools. 3. Possess elementary skills of working with humanitarian texts; critical attitude to political, economic, socio-cultural processes, events and phenomena.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the formation of a system of basic knowledge, skills and philosophical skills thinking for solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems, and as well as creating conditions for students to independently understand the conditions of existence and development of the natural and social world, formations of culture and knowledge, man and his entities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, consultations, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of assimilation material from all three parts and performance of independent works. Overall semester grade consists of points obtained for: 1) classroom work (oral answers, additions, etc participation in discussions at seminars), 2) independent individual work (writing an essay), 3) control works. In the end, all types of work in the semester have: -- in the maximum dimension 60 points -- in the minimum measure of 36 points A student is not admitted to the exam if he scored less than 36 during the semester points, which in total correspond to the minimum grades for all types of educational work.
