Course content
The course "Simulation of the passage of charged particles through matter" will significantly improve the training of students of the Department of Nuclear Physics, and in fact:
• master the basic laws of physics, master the methods and principles of theoretical solution of nuclear-physical problems, and planning and execution of nuclear-physical experiment to develop students' skills of experimentation, observation of nuclear-physical phenomena and processing of experimental results.
• be free to navigate at the qualitative and quantitative level in the main nuclear-physical phenomena associated with the manifestations of the quantum structure of matter at the level of elementary particles
• to develop skills of practical use of the acquired knowledge, methods and approaches in the further mastering of courses in the specialty of high-energy physics.

Assessment methods and criteria
The discipline "Software codes for calculations of the interaction of ionizing radiation with matter" is evaluated by a modular rating system. It consists of 2 modules. The results of students' educational activity are evaluated on a 100 - point scale. - semester assessment:
1. Two modular tests (maximum - 20x2 = 40 points).
2. Survey during lectures (maximum - 10 points).
3. Evaluation of homework (maximum - 10 points).
- final assessment in the form of an exam (maximum -40 points)
- Final assessment in the form of an exam
