Course content
The course " Calculations of radiation shielding " will significantly improve the training of students majoring in "nuclear energy", which is due to the fact that students will learn to use: • information obtained during the study of courses in dosimetry, radiation protection and the use of Monte Carlo methods, courses in medical physics • use formulas and patterns of ionizing radiation passing through the substance, • estimate the errors of experimental data and calculations. • Work independently with literature

Assessment methods and criteria
The discipline "Calculations of radiation shielding" is evaluated by a modular rating system. It consists of 2 modules. The results of students' educational activity are evaluated on a 100 - point scale. semester assessment: 1. two modular tests (maximum - 10 + 30 = 40 points). 2. Survey during lectures (maximum - 10 points). 3. Evaluation of homework (maximum - 20 points). - final assessment in the form of a test (maximum -30 points)
