Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: the essence of the concept of information base in systems of analytical information processing, the concept of database management system architecture, knowledge of relational systems, relational data models. relationships, attributes, domains, functional relationships, normal forms of relationship patterns, rules for writing expressions.
2. Have the skills of organization and features of analytical work, forms of presentation of consolidated information, information and analytical activities.
Course content
The program of the discipline focuses on the theoretical foundations and practical skills of working with databases, methodologies for applying various database management systems, and modern practical tools for working with them. The discipline studies the main aspects of database organization, different types of databases, as well as database design and management, studies work with file-server and client-server database management systems and improves knowledge of SQL database query creation language.

The purpose of the discipline is to learn to work with different database management systems, the formation of knowledge about the basic types and features of database management systems and the possibility of their use for effective data processing and manipulation
Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of student assessment: (max. 100 points / min. 60 points)
1. Oral interview, discussion - 10 points / 6 points;
2. Protection of laboratory works - 60 points / 36 points;
3. Independent work - 10 points / 6 points;
4. Final test - 20 points / 12 points.
