Learning outcomes
PLO 3. Use analytical and methodological tools to understand the logic of economic decision-making by various economic agents (individuals, households, enterprises and public authorities).
PLO 6. Apply appropriate economic-mathematical and statistical methods and models to solve economic problems.
PLO 9 To analyze the functioning and development of economic entities, to determine the functional areas, to calculate the relevant performance indicators of their activities.
PLO 11. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems and interpret the results
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basics of modern economic theory, macro- and microeconomics, sociology, basic statistical disciplines, econometrics; know general mathematical laws, probability theory and mathematical statistics, computer science and computer engineering;
2. Have the skills of statistical processing and visualization of data, methods of statistical analysis of patterns of development of complex socio-economic phenomena and processes.
Course content
Statistical methods of time series analysis are actively used in the modern world in all areas of practice, and forecasting development has become an integral tool in providing sound management decisions at all levels of government. The discipline is aimed at mastering the methods of statistical assessment and forecasting the development of complex socio - economic systems and contains two content modules

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The purpose of the discipline is to master the methods of statistical analysis of socio-economic phenomena and processes, acquire skills and abilities to process statistical information, model development trends and dynamics, substantiate forecasts using applied computer programs implemented in Statistica.
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out in points: maximum - 60 points / minimum - 36 points, incl.
- performance of practical exercises during laboratory classes -30 points / 18 points;
- 2 control modular works - 5 points each, together - 10 points / 6 points;
- preparation and presentation of an individual project - 20 points / 12 points.
- final assessment in the form of an exam
