Full-time form

The normative academic discipline "Insurance" is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists of educational and qualification level "Bachelor" is a logical continuation of the general theoretical and special economic disciplines studied by students, which form students' skills of economic thinking statistical calculations. The study of the discipline "Insurance" is preceded by mastering the courses "Economic Theory", "History of Economic Studies", which provide an opportunity to master basic economic knowledge and create a basis for understanding economic relations in the field of insurance.

Theoretical bases, essence, necessity and value of insurance are studied; features of insurance functioning in Ukraine; the essence of insurance, reinsurance; the role and functions of insurance; the content of the concepts of uncertainty and risk, methods of measuring risks; types of insurance, reinsurance contracts; basics of building insurance rates, organization of insurance business; organizational and legal forms and procedure for the establishment and operation of insurance companies; essence and forms of insurance protection; methods of determining the amount of insurance indemnity. The curriculum consists of the following content modules: 1. "Theoretical foundations of insurance". 2. "Features of the organization of the main types of insurance".

Information-traditional with elements of problem-oriented learning: lectures, laboratory classes, individual-calculation tasks, team tasks, solving practical cases, project tasks, independent work, consultations.

The semester number of points is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material on all topics of content modules, the implementation of all these laboratory works and the implementation of individual analytical and computational work. Final assessment in the form of an exam.
