            1. Know the theoretical foundations of economics, the history of human society, the history of economics, and economic thought. 2. Have skills to learn and master modern knowledge, analyze what is read and compare and contrast the views of scientists on the research problem, use modern opportunities for access to information and methods of its accumulation. 
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The main approaches to the periodization of the history of management are studied; formation of government in primitive society, Ancient Egypt, Babylonia, Ancient India, Ancient China, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome. The peculiarities of the development of Eastern and Western managerial thought of our era are studied; managerial thought of the times of Kievan Rus; formation and development of managerial thought in Ukraine in the eighteenth - early twentieth century. The preconditions for the formation and formation of management as science are analyzed. The main theories of management and schools that developed them are distinguished: the school of scientific management, school of administrative management, theory of industrial psychology, school of human relations, school of behavioral sciences, quantitative school of management, guru theory.

            Planned learning activities and teaching methods
        
        
            Information-traditional with elements of problem-oriented learning: lectures, seminars, independent work, consultations, teamwork, which is prepared during the semester and presented at seminars at the end of the semester, reading and discussing primary sources. 
        
    
            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            Forms of student assessment: (max. рoints 60 / min. рoints 36)
1. Oral answers, including group tasks - 30 points / 18 points.
2. Complex practical task (independent work) - 10 points / 6 points.
3. Two tests on 10 points - 20 points / 12 points.
Final assessment in the form of an exam.
