Course content
The discipline "Foreign Language" (English) of the Bachelor's degree program consists of five content parts dedicated to studying topics in the field of information technology. Learning takes place using innovative teaching methods and organizational forms, including project methods and web quests, brainstorming, interactive and didactic games, flipped learning, and the use of texts (INSERT method).
Some topics of professional orientation are assigned for independent learning by students, during which they learn to work with authentic literature.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course consists of 5 content parts, each including practical sessions and independent student work, which are concluded with an assessment of the level of mastery of the corresponding part of the course material.
The final assessment in the form of a credit (1 semester): a credit is awarded to the student based on their work throughout the semester. If the resulting total score is 60 or above, the student is credited.
The final assessment in the form of an exam (2nd and 7th semesters): the exam is evaluated with a maximum of 40 points. If a student receives less than 24 points during the exam, they are marked as "unsatisfactory" and the points earned are not counted.
The recommended minimum for eligibility for the exam is 36 points, with a critical minimum of 20 points. Students who have earned a total score below the minimum for eligibility must necessarily make up the material for the topics for which they have academic debt.
