The academic discipline introduces students to the development of key concepts, theories, and questions of philosophy (from ancient times to the present day) that have influenced the construction of European civilization. The main emphasis of the course is on the applied nature of philosophical knowledge.

Assessment methods and criteria
The knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which involves a two-level assessment of the acquired material, in particular the assessment of theoretical preparation - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.5), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical preparation - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.6); (communication 3.1-3.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.3), which accounts for 60% of the total grade.
The examination assessment takes place in a written and oral form. The exam consists of 2 questions.
The written part of the exam is a textual response to 2 questions from the exam (1 question - 10 points). The oral part is a thesis defense of the written part of the exam (1 question - 10 points).
