Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
In order to better assimilate the educational material of the discipline, students should acquire knowledge and skills in the field of discrete mathematics, computer technology, and professional courses before it begins
Course content
The goal of the discipline is mastering the basic terms, categories, basic knowledge of modern computer and network theory, using and evaluating production, project and scientific tasks in one's practical activities using modern knowledge of the field of computer engineering; to form among graduates an active position aimed at the practical implementation of an important task - informatization of the state. Within the framework of the discipline "Computer networks", the basics of computer systems and networks, the general principles of building computer networks, the basics of discrete data transmission, the general characteristics of local network protocols, local networks based on Ethernet technology and wireless networks are considered.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes, laboratory work, individual work
Assessment methods and criteria
The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of the defense of practical work and individual tasks of independent work. Semester assessment of students is carried out during the semester for all types of work. The total score is formed as a weighted sum of points earned by the student for various types of work. The maximum number of points that a student can receive for work in a semester does not exceed 100 points. The form of the final evaluation is the credit. The assessment is carried out by issuing a final grade, which is defined as the sum of points for all successfully assessed learning outcomes. To receive credit, it is mandatory to complete all practical work (minimum grade - 51 points, maximum - 85 points), individual work (minimum grade - 9 points, maximum - 15 points). Upon receiving the resulting final number of points from 60 and above, the student is assigned a credit..
