To have elementary skills of searching for information and summarizing it from various sources, the ability to analyze the received data.

The course consists of two content modules. The first module is devoted to the study of the social functions of tourism and the nature of the tourism process, namely the structure of tourism, classification of tourist resources, self-organization of the tourism process, the formation and functioning of the tourism industry, regulatory principles and personnel policy in tourism. The second module examines the functioning of the tourism industry and the tourist market, namely the organization of hospitality, transport services, the activities of travel and excursion organizers, the functioning of the tourist services market based on tourism marketing and management.

Lectures, self-study

Assessment is carried out throughout the semester and during the examination session. Practical papers are submitted at each practical session or at the specified one term as a teacher; for works submitted after the specified deadline, the assessment is 50% of the maximum number of points. Control work is conducted in the form of blitz tests for 6-7 weeks of study during the lecture. For students who have completed 60% or less of practical work, an additional test is held in the 11th-12th week of study.
