Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of tourism", "Fundamentals of organization of scientific research in tourism", "Mathematical methods with the basics of higher mathematics and statistics", methodological parts of specialized and technological disciplines in the direction of " Tourism".
2. Be able to plan and manage time
3. Possess elementary skills of organization, use of information technologies for collection, processing and analysis of qualitative and quantitative information and data,2. Successful completion of traineership.
Course content
Part of the course 1. "The epistemological model of tourism sector research": Epistemological model and disciplinary approaches of tourism research. Empirical and theoretical methods and their application in tourism research. Conceptual map and analytical scheme of research: essence and examples of formation. Part of the course 2. "Methods of qualitative and quantitative research in tourism": Information and statistical support of tourism research: methodological recommendations and practice - international and national. Qualitative and quantitative methods of tourism research: essence and examples of use. Classification and typology: essence and examples of use in tourism research.

3. Construction of a conceptual map and an analytical scheme for the study of schemes: 12 / 20 points
4. Presentation (defense) and analytical reference to the conceptual map and analytical research scheme: 12/20
The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The number of points that the student receives during the semester is the sum of the points received during the assessment of tests, completed practical assignments and presentation, defense and review of logical-structural schemes. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points, the condition for admission to the exam is to write essays on issues of missed or insufficiently mastered topics. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24.
