Learning outcomes
PLO01. Know, understand and be able to use in practice the main provisions of tourism legislation, national and international standards for tourist services. PLO03. Know and understand the main forms and types of tourism, their division. PLO06. Apply the principles and methods of organization and technology of tourist service in practical activities. PLO09. To organize the process of serving consumers of tourist services based on the use of modern information, communication and service technologies and compliance with quality standards and safety norms. PLO11. Possess the state and foreign language(s), at a level sufficient for professional activity. PLO15. Demonstrate tolerance for alternative principles and methods of performing professional tasks PLO24. Use existing knowledge in new uncertain situations PLO27. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses: "Basics of Tourism Studies", "Introduction to University Courses". studies", "Tourist country studies", "Geography of population and settlement, culture and religion", "Geography of recreation and tourism", "Fundamentals of the resort business", "International organizations in tourism", "Organization of excursion services", "Museums of the world and tourism", "Information technologies in tourism", "Regional development environment of international tourism". 2. Knowledge of theoretical foundations: To know the essence and characteristic features of the service as an economic good, the influence of the population, its structural characteristics, settlement and other factors of the environment development of service activities,peculiarities of the organization of recreational services, excursion and museum tourism.
Course content
The educational discipline is dedicated to the study of the organization of service activities at the local, national, and international levels. It is aimed at forming students' special professional, social and personal competencies, critical thinking, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, identify, formulate and solve problems in the development of the service sector. The theoretical and methodological block of the discipline involves the study of the essence of service activity, its specifics, classification; basic theories, categories and concepts of service organization; laws, principles, factors of placement and development of the service sector, methods its research, the specifics of the organization of services in cities and rural areas. In the block dedicated to the territorial organization of services in the world and in Ukraine, the general trends of the development of the world market of services, its industry markets, the peculiarities of the organization of functional blocks of the service sector in Ukraine, problems and directions of their reform are studied

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical work, self-study
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of production during the semester of all types of work, including independent work and performance of individual tasks. The course provides 2 substantive parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures, practical classes, testing, discussions, presentations, and creative works are provided. The discipline ends with an exam. During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, thematic written control works in the form of tests are conducted. To determine the level of achievement of learning outcomes, students present the results of their research and demonstrate acquired skills. For students who did not reach the minimum grade level during the semester (60% of the maximum possible number of points) the final semester is held control work, the maximum grade for which cannot exceed 40% of the final grade evaluations (up to 40 points on a 100-point scale).
