In order to successfully acquire knowledge from the discipline "Geosystem Studies", students must: have basic knowledge of geography, be able to analyze cause-and-effect relationships between natural processes and phenomena; to have the skills of searching and systematizing scientific documents and primary processing of geographical information; elementary skills of analysis and synthesis of geographical information, comparative geographical analysis

            Course content

The discipline "Geosystem studies" includes an overview of the main properties
geosystems and general regularities of the structure, composition and dynamics of geographic
shells as global-level geosystems. The object of study is the geographical envelope of the Earth
– a complex shell in which there is deep interpenetration and active interaction
substances of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, pedosphere and biosphere. Subject of study
Disciplines are natural processes through which natural geospheres interact, which
form a geographical shell; the main patterns of territorial and vertical
differentiation of the geographical envelope. While studying the discipline "Geosystem
research" attention is also paid to the formation of skills and abilities to plan and
carry out research and report on their results, the ability to solve complex problems
tasks in the field of tourism and recreation both in the educational process and in the professional process
activity

            Assessment methods and criteria

During the entire period of study of the discipline, current weekly control is carried out, which aims to check the level of knowledge acquisition and students' readiness to perform specific practical tasks. According to the results, you can get up to 30; for practical works - up to 20 points. The final grade for the discipline is formed as the sum of points received for: 1) tasks and control works completed during the semester (maximum 60 points); 2) defense-presentation of the results of individual/collective research projects (maximum number of points – 20); 3) final (credit) testing (maximum 20 points). A condition for a positive final grade in the discipline is that the student receives at least 60 points. Upon receiving the final number of points of 60 and above, the student is given an appropriate grade.
