Assessment methods and criteria
The control and assessment of the students’ knowledge is realized according to the credit-modular system. The structure of each module includes: classroom work, student’s independent work, a modular test.
Group and individual interviews are carried out at each practical class; the maximum score a student can get for the interview is 10. The arithmetic mean of all the scores for the answers at the group interview makes 10% of the final score (10 scores / 6 scores). Written tasks are done by a student independently in the outside classroom time. The maximum score for each written task is 10 (6). The sum of scores for 4 written tasks makes 40% of the final score for the subject (40 scores / 24 scores). A unit test is written on the last lesson of each module; final tests results make 20% of the final score for the subject (20 scores / 12 scores).
