Course content
The course "Tourist Cartography" consists of two content modules. The first is devoted to the structure of cartography, its connection with other sciences, development (historical aspect) of tourist mapping, mathematical based on cartographic works, historical aspects of the development of tourism cartography, classification of tourist maps, methods and techniques mapping, the issue of features of design, arrangement and publication tourist cards. The second module is devoted to the peculiarities of using cartographic methods of depicting objects and phenomena on maps, namely tourist objects, maps of special content, application of the cartographic method research, techniques and methods of analysis of cartographic works, modern technologies of making tourist maps and features of making maps special purpose (maps for sports orienteering), marking tourist routes. The training course "Tourist Cartography" is closely related to the following disciplines: cartography, mathematical cartography, geodesy, topography, digital cartography, GIS, remote sensing methods Earth sensing. Educational discipline "Tourist cartography" is a component of educational of the professional program "Tourism" specialty 242 - Tourism field of knowledge - 24 Service sector.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the modular rating system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training (20%) includes: presentation (20%), depth of methodology in the represented research (20%), feasibility and coherence of proposals (20%) , degree of originality (20%) and identification of methodological problems of the topic, situation (20%) and evaluation of practical training (80%) includes: qualitative integrity of observation (25%), ability to assess the problem (25%), identification of ways and methodology of problem solving , which has arisen or may arise (25%), outlining ways to solve specific problems (25%). Forms of control of students' knowledge and skills are: laboratory works; modular control works, independent work. Completion of content modules and all laboratory modules during the semester is mandatory for the exam.
