P04. To use information technologies, cartographic and geo-information models in the branches of the subject area of geographical sciences. P06. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the geographical envelope and its components. P07. Apply models, methods and data of natural sciences, information technologies, etc. when studying the formation and development of objects and processes of the geographical envelope. P10. Analyze the composition and structure of natural-geographic objects and systems, in particular in the field of geomorphology, at different spatio-temporal levels. P12. Know and apply theories, paradigms, concepts and principles in the fields of the subject area of geography according to specialization.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basic requirements of general education disciplines "Geology", "Geomorphology", "History of the Earth's biosphere", "Methods of geomorphological research". 2. Possess elementary skills of geomorphological analysis using cartographic materials
Course content
The course is divided into two parts. The first of them is dedicated to the general, cosmic, planetary causes of the Earth's thermodynamic evolution, the result of which was the appearance of its geoshells, geospheres, geosystems and their development. The second part examines the planetary relief of the Earth as a geomorphosystem: its origin, structure, functioning, evolution, scientific and practical significance.
