Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of such educational disciplines as "Fundamentals of general and historical geology", "Soil science", "Geomorphology", "Landscape science", "Social geography (Human geography)", "Introduction to university studies", "Research of relief and geological structure ", "Educational practice on the basics of field natural-geographic research" / "Educational practice on the basics of field economic-geographical research" (depending on the specialty). 2) mastery of field geographical research methods; 3) skills in working with cartographic materials.
Course content
The discipline consists of two substantive modules. The first of them, depending on the specialty and specialization, is dedicated to familiarization with landscape complexes, geomorphological structure and modern exogenous processes that are inherent in flat areas, as well as the socio-geographical complex of a large city (on the example of Kyiv). The Faculty of Geography of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University serves as the basis for this part of practice. Practice is carried out in the amount of 2 credits (60 hours). The second module of the discipline consists of three parts, which are respectively dedicated to: familiarization with the peculiarities of farming in mountainous areas; study of landscapes; the study of relief forms and modern exogenous processes that are typical for them (on the example of the Ukrainian Carpathians). The basis for conducting this part of the practice is the educational and scientific base "Yasinya" of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University in the village of Black Tisza of the Rakhiv district of the Zakarpattia region. Practice is conducted in the amount of 3 credits (90 hours).
