The educational discipline consists of two content modules. Content module 1 aims to highlight the methodological foundations of nature tourism as a relatively new scientific direction, in particular to form a system of knowledge regarding the object and subject of nature tourism, to analyze existing approaches to defining the essence of nature tourism, its main concepts and definitions, and their relationships. This part of the course examines the genetic categories of objects that are of interest to consumers of nature tourism products, as well as the organizational forms of these objects. Content module 2 is devoted to the consideration of issues of creation of a nature tourism product, starting from the justification of its scientific and cognitive value, assessment of the nature tourism potential of the territory, and ending with measures to preserve and maintain geosites. Considerable attention in the academic discipline is given to specific examples of positive experience in the development of the nature tourism industry in the world, forms of protection and preservation of the nature tourism heritage.
