Learning outcomes
P02. Know and understand the main types of geographical activities, their division in general and in particular in the field of geomorphology and naturally cognitive tourism.
P03. Explain the features of the geographical space organization depending on the relief, modern and ancient geomorphogenesis of the territory.
P07. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the landscape sphere in general and geomorphosystems in particular.
P09. Analyze the composition and structure of natural- and sociospheres, which are the part of the subject area of geomorphology and naturally cognitive tourism at different spatial and temporal levels.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) know the basics of geology, ecology, biogeography, general earth science, as well as possess theoretical knowledge (basic school knowledge) of the physical geography of the world and Ukraine;
2) be able to establish relationships between ecosystem components, analyze them;
3) to have elementary skills of system analysis, to understand the cause-and-effect relationships between the components of nature.
Course content
The discipline consists of two content modules. In the first, paleoecology as a science, the basics of paleoecology methodology, paleoecological conditions of the Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic periods (Paleogene and Neogene) are considered.
In the second content module, a set of methods of paleogeological, paleogeomorphological, and paleolandscape reconstructions, as well as methods of absolute geochronology, are considered.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of performance of tasks of practical work, modular control work, credit. The maximum number of points on the assessment is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to semester marks is 30 points. Completion of all practical work provided by the work program and writing of modular test papers is mandatory for credit. The recommended minimum for admission to the test is 30 points. Students who scored a total of fewer points than the critical minimum are not allowed to take the test.
